There are many golf courses to choose from around Les Carroz. It’s a fifteen minute drive to Flaine, where at 1900 meters you can play on the highest 18-hole golf course in Europe. Parapenting

Also known as paragliding, this is one of the locals’ favourite pastimes. It's the most exhilarating thrilling experience! Why not try out a tandem ride with a fully qualified instructor, or learn to fly one yourself on a week’s course.

Climbing

What better place to try your hand at rock climbing than the French Alps? Local guides will take first-timers on a beginner’s course, or test the skills of more advanced climbers. The limestone towers of The Tours d'Areu are just a stone's throw away as are the fantastic climbs of Maladiere and Balme.

As the snow melts the local rivers swell, offering some great opportunities for white knuckle rides on white water. Popular rafting rivers include the Arve at Chamonix, the Giffre in nearby Samoens and the Dranse, between Morzine and Lake Geneva.
